Poem #4: Wishes

Nun ist es da, das neue Jahr… Von vielen Seiten habe ich gehört: “Na endlich”! Es war eine große Freude zu spüren, 2020 hinter sich zu lassen und mit dem neuen Jahr das Gefühl eines frischen Starts zuzulassen. An sich muss ich darüber immer schmunzeln, denn die Situation, die Themen und Hürden ändern sich ja nicht von heute auf morgen, nur weil ein neues Jahr anbricht. Und trotzdem tut es gut, dieses Gefühl des Abschlusses und des Neuanfangs. Wir scheinen genau das zu brauchen!

Ich habe auch versucht mir die Zeit “zwischen den Jahren” bewusster für mich zu gestalten, habe Rauhnacht Rituale in meinen Alltag integriert und mir allgemein mehr Ruhe gegönnt, um besser zu hören, was hochkommt und was mich eigentlich beschäftigt.

Dabei ist heute dieses Gedicht entstanden… Wünsche für eben diesen Neuanfang, für dieses neue Jahr, was auch immer es bringen mag.

Wishes

It’s been a year full of change,

sudden and all over,

filled with emotions, love and also rage,

of austerity and chances.

It has taught and helped us to rethink,

directions, ideas and actions,

has brought us time to make the link

between us and world’s connections.

What do we wish for, for the new year to come,

what shall be the intention?

Let’s make room and space for some

new views, wishes and inventions.

Let’s wish for solidarity,

to leave no one behind.

Let’s wish for more mindfulness

on how we live our lives.

Let’s wish for more respect

for nature and it’s strength.

Let’s wish for more time to heal

for her and us together.

Let’s wish for more understanding

on what needs to be done differently.

Let’s wish for making the learning,

become for all a better reality.

Let’s wish for trust in the new,

in our intuition and inner guidance.

Let’s wish for more of the few,

who take a chance and action.

The time is now, it’s all we have,

take aside the global fear.

Throw ourselves into this time of change,

and make this on hell of a year!
